South Shore Blackpool
Fathers 4 Justice stunt on the top of Blackpool's Big One With an airport, two railway stations, tramway, pier, beach, promenade, seafront, illuminations, motorway access, swimming pool, hypermarkets, retail park, industrial estate, football ground, parks, hospital, numerous shopping areas, hotels, pubs, clubs, bowling, restaurants, fish & chip, hamburger stalls, candy floss, souvenir shops, police station, fire station, go-carts, caravan sites, garden centres, nurseries (plants and babies), schools, solarium, rock manufacturers, businesses and shops of almost every kind. We haven't even got round to mentioning the Sandcastle - a vast indoor water pool centre, or that other famous Blackpool tourist attraction, The Pleasure Beach, with its roller coasters, "Big One", and many other rides, the Blackpool Pleasure Beach is one of Britain's busiest tourist attractions. South Shore naturally is home to a large community of residents, and is well served with local shops, supermarkets, and other services, and with the hopes, fears, and problems shared by many other communities. This site is intended to be seen as a way of publicising Blackpool's South Shore area, and also of providing a forum for all local residents. Coming soon will be sections for local community groups, shopping and business directories, schools, and amenities.
We invite participation from all residents, traders, hoteliers, councillors, visitors, ex-residents, and any who have connections with the area.
